Empowering young people and students for a brighter future.

Creating partnerships that prevent crime and improve the quality of life.

The Safer Luton Partnership is a multi award-winning organisation with international recognition. We continue to work on several projects with specific target groups towards the ongoing goal of developing safer neighbourhoods, improving the quality of life and reducing the level of crime for those who live, work or visit Luton.

The Safer Luton Partnership has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services. This is an MBE for our Volunteers!

On Thursday 2nd June 2022, on the official opening of the Queens Platinum Jubilee, it was announced the Safer Luton Partnership has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services.

The SLP hosted a celebration event at Saint George’s Square, Luton to announce the award and to promote the services and work conducted by the SLP Volunteers.

Director - Dr Joan Bailey MBE made the announcement stating “The Safer Luton Partnership are overjoyed by the announcement of this award and i commend the organisations volunteers for their hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm.

The organisation has just celebrated over 32 years of service within the community of Luton, through our projects that are led by volunteers and service users. We are indebted to our volunteers who give so much of their time to ensure that we can provide high quality services across the town.

I am so proud to be associated with the most amazing set of individuals who put their heart and soul into every project we provide. Serving the community is at the centre of everything we do and we will continue to meet the those needs to improve the quality of life for the people of Luton.

Our youth support work

We support young people and their families through difficult periods without labeling or judging them through a range of initiatives aimed at meeting their personal, social and education needs. These can be delivered through one to one support or through group activities. We also provide a range of training and activities for young people to help increase their confidence, and build their self esteem.
